Rick Brisby
Director of Maintenance/Service
Rick spent four years
in the Marine Corp as a Sheetmetal / Structural Mechanic
working on F4s and A4s. He went to the Orange Coast College in California
and
received his A&P license. With over 22 years of General Aviation experience,
Rick has
worked on Piper, Mooney, Cessna,Grumman, Commander, Maule, Beechcraft,
and Lake
aircraft. In fact, Rick spent four years working at a Mooney Service Center,
as well as
attending two Mooney Service Schools, one for M20 series aircraft up through
M20K
models, and one for the M20L Porche series. He has also attended Piper
Service
Schools for the PA28 series and the PA46 Malibu series. Rick spent one
year working
as a sheetmetal mechanic for United Airlines, working on 747s, 737s, and
DC10
aircraft, as well as completing their sheetmetal school. He left United
and opened a
Mooney and Commander Aircraft service center, eight years later he sold
his
shares and moved his family to Oregon. He then worked for a year and a
half for a
Mooney Service Center in Oregon.
"Here at Corvallis
Aero Service we run a Maintenance Department, Flight School,
and Charter Department. We have a Piper Navajo, and Twin Commanche under
our
135 operation and two Cessnas in our flight club. We also maintain the
Oregon State
University Flight Club's fleet of six Cessnas. I have been an IA for 12
years, and during
my career in General Aviation I have worked on aircraft from the Beechcraft
twin engines
aircraft and Beech 18's, Piper twin engine aircraft up through the Piper
Cheyenne's,
Cessna twin engine aircraft up through the 421s and the Cessna Caravan
208B. I have
also worked on T-34s, T-38s and I was involved in the restoration on a
Mig 17, the
running and testing of all its systems for use in the air shows."
